Imperial War Museum in Duxford

Some aircraft photos from the Duxford air museum.  Last time I was here I had a simple camera so the photos didn't come out there best, so this time I took my Nikon and 70-300mm to see what kind of photos I could get.

Afghanistan

This image, exhibited in the Trajan's Market in Rome shows a British commander 100 years ago on the left training Afghan soldiers.  On the right is a US Air Force major who is training Afghan helicopter pilots.

What is interesting is how no one is looking at the camera.

Liberty Ships

I use to drive past these ships on my way to work and one weekend went down to check them out.  These are the liberty ships that the US pumped out in mass production during WWII.  For the most part they were built with concrete and took a few weeks to build.  Nothing special as they were built to haul things to Europe.
