Wimbledon Windmill

I like this time of year, just before the cold sets in, the sunsets are really nice and the nature beings out it's darker colors.

This windmill is in located on the park between Wimbledon and Putney.  There's a museum and also a nice cafe in the back where you can get warm food and a drink.  The hike is quite nice, just wish they would get rid of the parking lot and make people walk to it to enjoy it like they do in Holland - but that would not be the British way of doing it would it?

Mudchute Farm

Mudchute Park is a nice little park on the top of Canary Wharf.  There's a animal pet farm where city workers can play with sheep and cows and kids roll around in the mud.

Plus there's a anti-aircraft gun from WWII restored that was located there to defend the port from German bombers.

Kröller-Müller Museum

The story goes that the husband wanted a hunting ground, but the wife wanted a fine art museum.  So the compromise?  Build the fine art museum in the middle of the large hunting ground.  Now the grounds are a natural part, and the museum is best accessed with the free bikes with a relaxing cycle though the large park.

Inside the museum is the second largest collection of Van Gogh paintings.

In addition, it has one of the largest sculpture gardens in Europe.

I simply love the architecture of the museum, with the simplicity of Dutch design and nature.
